CJH Cup
Christopher John Hall
The CJH cup is a "golf" competition held annually in memory of Chris, on his birthday in September.
There are two separate contests:
1. Fewest putts taken (net of handicap, which is revised yearly).
2. Flamboyance - on the 18th hole, or in attire on the day.
Friends or family of Chris interested in competing or attending, please mail info@cjhall.me
Any CJH cup notes, pics, clips with Chris - upload here or mail to info@cjhall.me

This year, there was a series of mix-ups in the catering. Pype Hayes didn't record our booking of their event room (made on 29th Sep 24) and booked someone's birthday party instead. We transferred to Hatchford Brook, which meant some people couldn't come. They left it too late to arrange the catering, so we had to do our own (well done Steph).
Des won the competition (again - adjudicators please take note!!).
Laura won the flamboyance.
This year we also honoured a tradition ay Hatchford Brook (Started by Chris), that the loser has to stand and be pelted with mud.
Derek was the lucky recipient (the video clip is below under the 2025 image carousel)

29th September 2024
This year, there were storms and floods in the run up (the course was closed two days before), but the annual weather miracle happened again (9 years running), albeit with no buggies allowed.
This was the first year we had a buffet instead of set meals.
Des won the competition, Andy won the flamboyance and somehow Derek won the female flamboyance!
